The Adam-God Theory
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints does not believe that Adam was God the Father. The Adam-God theory represents an anomaly in Church history, nothing more. Check out the resources below for more info
We warn you against the dissemination of doctrines which are not according to the Scriptures and which are alleged to have been taught by some of the General Authorities of past generations. Such, for instance, is the Adam-God theory. We denounce that theory and hope that everyone will be cautioned against this and other kinds of false doctrine.

Adam-God Theory Videos
Saints Unscripted talks about a controversial and confusing theory that Brigham Young may or may not have believed: that Adam (as in, Adam and Eve) was the mortal embodiment of God the Father
This video discusses the Adam God Theory, which was briefly taught a few times by Brigham Young. While some possible reasons behind his comments are given, the most important aspects of this video from Latter Day Q&A demonstrates how this has never been a doctrine of the Church and why this doesn’t make Brigham Young a 'false prophet’ in any way.
